Washington get fewer votes than Lincoln? Srsly? Lincoln shouldn’t even have been voted for by honest money advocates. Aside from certain other things he did which the history books ignore, Lincoln was a HUGE fiat-money president. He took the US off of real money and onto a fiat currency (“Greenbacks”) to finance the Civil War. A good cause? Mebbe. Constitutional? Not on your life! @blueherontrail Jefferson was a good choice, he warned of Central banks. Andrew Jackson was because he eliminated the central bank at the time. Kennedy went a step in that direction. Reagan, Mr. Deficit and borrow and spend, did not make an attempt to rid us of the Federal Reserve.
