I thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Oz’s book. I have more than doubled my money in the stock market in approximately 4 months and I would consider myself an intermediate level swing trader. I only say this to give an idea of the reader’s perspective.
The book is well written and the ideas conveyed in simple terms. I have read many books and this is one of the more valuable. It is much better, in my opinion, than the much hyped “DayTrading into the Millennium”. There is much good and oft repeated advice that you would do well to heed and which never hurts to read more than once. I found myself quickly skimming over or skipping several sections of the book, but other sections were extremely valuable. Especially helpful were the sections on Level 2 and creating automated scans. Mr. Oz is very specific about his strategies and methods of stock picking, entry, and exit points. One of the book’s strong points is definitely the illustrations. They are of high quality, very clear and numerous.
As to whether it is worth the money or not, this is somewhat subjective. In my opinion, it is. If you are already a successful trader and stock picker and happy with your abilities and understanding of Nasdaq level 2, then pass this one up. If however you feel that you have more to learn, especially about Nasdaq Level 2, automated stock scans, and general stock picking methods then I highly recommend “Stock Trading Wizard”. There are several methods listed that I had to learn instinctively by trail and error. I think the book is very well rounded and that it contains enough information to help you become a successful trader if you read no other.
One other minor thing I like about the way the hard cover book is published is that you can lay it open, flat on a table for hands free reading. I constantly read while eating my lunch or dinner and this is very handy.

I’ve got to be honest, after reading the other reviews of this book…I had expected alot more information on daytrading entry/exit techniques. This book covers alot of BASIC technical analysis, which I don’t have a problem with per se. Keeping things simple is often key in trading in general, but he doesn’t provide many examples on an intraday basis. There was really very little helpful daytrading information in my opinion for anyone who has more than a rudimentary intraday trading background…My biggest problem is with the price. This book should be somewhere around $30 at best. If I had paid that much, I wouldn’t be as annoyed as I am right now…I found Tony’s other book that provides a day-by-day commentary in a real life trading environment much more useful…I would stay away from this one unless you are a complete beginner…I blew through it in a few hours and I’m no expert in an intraday time frame…
