Instead of the government spending billions more of taxpayer dollars on failed bailouts, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) demands that those who have earned the money should be the ones to spend it. His plan is to substitute the remaining $350 billion in bailouts with a two month federal income and FICA tax holiday for Americans, where that money would stay in their paychecks. Then the taxpayers would be able to use that money the way they want and do a better job of stimulating the economy, whether it be by paying off loans and home mortgages, buying a more efficent car, investing in stocks, saving it, or just having fun with it.

Great job Rep. Gohmert! Keep fighting the good fight so the people that make the money will get to enjoy the fruits of their labor. I have to say that I’m proud to have voted for you and proud that you have the guts to be the voice of reason in the house.

This is rare! A politician that knows the taxpayers will spend money better than he can or government can! We better keep him in office!
I think permanent rate reductions will help more than a temporary one. We want businesses to plan on lower taxes, so that they can hire more workers.
